Coolwatcher grew out of a simple frustration. In hospitality, hundreds of euros of stock sit in the fridge every single day, and yet the temperature is still logged with a pen on a paper sheet. Often after the fact, sometimes not at all. When a compressor fails in the middle of the night, nobody knows until the next morning. By then the damage is done. In industry and at the supermarket chains, that problem was solved long ago. Their equipment measures continuously, raises the alarm automatically and builds the log by itself. We wondered why that certainty should belong only to the big players. The technology exists. It was simply never built for a kitchen with three fridges and an owner who has no time for complicated systems. So we built Coolwatcher. A small unit you hang up yourself in ten minutes, that works without WiFi over the mobile network, and that simply sends you a message when something is about to go wrong. No dashboard to log into, no subscription of hundreds of euros. From 29 euro a month, hardware on loan, cancellable monthly.
